Up until now, the annual Princess Festival has been a summer event for girls and boys that raises funds for In Our Own Quiet Way, a Utah Valley charity that supports aid to Africa.
Now the Princess Festival is launching a winter adventure at Provo Towne Centre shopping mall.
A special “pink carpet” event on Saturday will kick off the first-ever Winter Princess Festival. The launch event will feature a musical performance by Suzannah, Sarah and Sasha Osmond, the granddaughters of Alan Osmond, at 3 p.m. Saturday at Provo Towne Centre.
The Winter Princess Festival will feature two different adventures: “A Hobbyduke Christmas Festival” runs Monday through Dec. 12, with “Princess Winterland Festival” to follow, Dec. 13-23. Princess Festival adventures are guided by costumed actors who lead girls and boys ages 3-10 through a live-action role play in which kids help a fairy tale figure or other character confront a magical challenge.
